Residential Trash Pickup
The City of Columbia City provides a residential (single and double family dwellings) trash pickup program through a monthly fee on each customer’s utility bill. Trash pickup occurs once a week with a fee of $8.50 per month. Residents should have their gray Advanced Disposal trash totes near the curb, not in the street, by 6:00am on the morning of collection. Only trash totes that have the lid fully closed will be picked up. If residents have additional trash that needs to be picked up, they can purchase special trash bags from the Utility Office for $1.00 per bag. These bags should be set beside the normal trash tote at the curb.

The only holidays that trash will not be picked up in the City limits will be Christmas Day, New Years Day, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. If normal trash pick-up day falls on one of these holidays, your trash will be picked up the next working day.
