The City of Columbia City (Indiana) has an opening for a full-time FIREFIGHTER. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at time of application and have not reached age 36 by the date of appointment, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and must be of high moral character and not have been convicted of a felony. Applicants must be certified NFPA FFI/II and a state certified 1st responder or Emergency Medical Responder.. EMT Basic Certified preferred; however, must become certified within 1 year of employment Applicants must also reside within Whitley County or a county adjacent. Newly hired employees who do not meet the residency requirements have 90 days to move into the district. The Columbia City Police Department is currently accepting applications to fill 2-3 positions for Full-Time Police Officer.
